Ask anyone who owns property in Playa del Carmen about water and you hear the same things: very hard water that scales showerheads, heaters and A/C coils; pressure drops and cuts in parts of town at peak times; and, outside the network, wells that turn brackish the closer you are to the sea. We build the systems that fix it, from a villa softener and RO kitchen tap to plants for condos and resorts in the north corridor.
Whole-house softeners and drinking-water RO for Playacar, Corasol and Mayakoba homes.
Cisterns, pressure systems and central filtration for condos in the centre and Playacar.
Softening and storage that protect boilers, A/C and guest bathrooms from scale.
Treatment of hard or brackish wells for properties outside the network.
RO and desalination plants for resorts between Playa and Punta Maroma.
Pressure, level and quality alarms so managers act before guests notice.
Playa’s water comes from a limestone aquifer and is rich in calcium carbonate. Scale shortens the life of water heaters, A/C condensate systems, pool equipment and shower fittings, and leaves white marks on glass and stone. A properly sized softener protects the whole house; a small RO unit gives drinking water without buying bottles. For hotels and condos, the savings in maintenance usually pay the system back.
In parts of Playa the network pressure drops at peak times. A cistern with a pressure system and automatic switch-over keeps the house or building supplied, and is the base for any treatment. We size storage for at least a day of use and place filters and UV after the cistern so the stored water stays clean.
| System | Typical client | Cost (MXN) |
|---|---|---|
| Softener + drinking RO | Playacar / Corasol villa | $90k–$350k |
| Cistern + pressure + UV | Large villa, small condo | $250k–$900k |
| Brackish-well RO | Hotel or condo | $0.9M–$4.5M |
| Seawater desalination | North corridor resort | $3.5M–$22M |
