Wastewater Systems for Villas Around Playa del Carmen

Just outside Playa del Carmen’s urban grid, most homes are on their own: beach villas in Punta Bete and Xcalacoco, eco-houses on jungle lots west of Highway 307, weekend homes along the roads into rural Solidaridad, and plots in new subdivisions still waiting for the network. These are also some of the areas closest to cenotes. We install sealed treatment systems sized for real use, including holiday rentals.

Where We Install Around Playa

Punta Bete & Xcalacoco

Beach villas on sand with shallow water tables and strict expectations from buyers and renters.

Jungle Lots West of 307

Eco-homes on rock, where excavation and cenote proximity drive the design.

New Subdivisions

Systems with a future sewer connection point for plots awaiting the network.

Holiday Rentals

Systems sized for full houses and changeovers, not just the owner's use.

Wetlands & Irrigation

Constructed wetlands that become part of the garden.

Retrofits

Replacing failed pits under existing villas, one of our most common jobs around Playa.

Rentals change the numbers

A villa that hosts eight guests every weekend produces far more wastewater than the owner who designed it for two. Many failing systems around Playa are simply undersized for rental use. We size by bedrooms and expected occupancy, add greywater separation to cut the load, and choose aerobic treatment where terraces and pools sit close to the tanks.

Rock, sand and cenotes

West of the highway, excavation is in limestone and cenotes may be a few hundred metres away; on the coast, sand and high water tables mean tanks must be anchored. In both cases we use sealed, tested tanks, never open absorption pits, and route the treated water to drip irrigation in the garden.
