Premium Restaurant and Bar Fit-Out in the Riviera Maya

For chefs, restaurant groups and hotel F&B teams opening or renovating in Quinta Avenida, Playacar, Puerto Cancún, the Cancún Hotel Zone, Aldea Zama and the Tulum beach road. In this business every week of delay is lost rent and lost season. We build the dining room your designer drew and the kitchen your health inspector and your cooks need, and we have it ready for the opening date.

Restaurant fit-out by Recrea Construction in the Riviera Maya
A Recrea Construction project
Restaurant fit-out 2026: premium dining room and bar $18,000–$35,000 MXN/m²; signature or hotel-grade venues $35,000–$55,000 MXN/m²; commercial kitchen package (extraction, gas, refrigeration rough-in, grease trap, finishes) $1.5M–$6M MXN depending on size and menu. Kitchen equipment is quoted with your supplier or ours.

What We Build

Commercial Kitchens

Layout with your chef, stainless and sanitary finishes, gas and electrical loads, refrigeration and cold-room rough-in.

Extraction & Fresh Air

Hoods, ducting, fans and make-up air sized to the cooking line, routed so smoke and smell never reach neighbours or guests.

Grease Traps & Drainage

Grease interceptors, floor drains and slopes to municipal and water-utility requirements.

Acoustics & Atmosphere

Acoustic ceilings and panels, lighting scenes and sound systems, so a full room stays pleasant.

Bars, Rooftops & Terraces

Back bars, ice and draught systems, palapas, pergolas, rooftop waterproofing and structural checks for loads.

Licences & Opening

Land-use and operating licence support, Protección Civil, health requirements and as-built documents for the opening inspection.

The kitchen decides the budget

Dining rooms get the attention; kitchens get the cost overruns. In existing commercial units on Quinta Avenida or in Cancún plazas we routinely find no route for an extraction duct, an electrical supply too small for induction or combi ovens, no gas line, and floors with no fall to drains. We survey these before you sign the lease if we can, and we design the kitchen with your chef and equipment supplier before the dining room is frozen, so the expensive surprises come up on paper, not on site.

Building for the coast and for the season

  • Open-air and beach venues need corrosion-resistant fixings, sealed electrical, outdoor-rated finishes and furniture, and drainage for tropical downpours.
  • Thatched palapas are beautiful and a fire risk near kitchens: we specify fire-retardant treatment, separation from cooking equipment and Protección Civil-compliant extinguishing.
  • Opening dates follow the season. We plan backwards from your soft opening, order long-lead items (hoods, refrigeration, custom furniture, imported tiles) during design, and work double shifts when the programme needs it.

Yes, and it is the best money you will spend. We check the route for extraction, electrical and gas capacity, drainage, structure for rooftop loads and the condominium or plaza rules, and give you a fit-out estimate before you commit.

Typically 8–14 weeks of construction for a 150–300 m² venue after design approval, depending on kitchen complexity and imported items. We plan backwards from your opening date.

We prepare the construction-side documentation — drawings, construction licence or notice with DRO where needed, Protección Civil requirements and as-built plans — and coordinate with your gestor for the operating, alcohol and health licences.

Yes. We build to your interior designer’s drawings and coordinate rough-ins with your kitchen equipment supplier, or recommend one if you do not have one.
