Padel and Tennis Court Construction in the Riviera Maya

A padel court is a precision slab with a glass box on top: if the concrete is off by a few millimetres, the ball bounces wrong and the glass cracks. We build padel and tennis courts for villas, hotels, clubs and gated communities as one package: soil study, slab and drainage, certified court structure, artificial grass or acrylic surface, LED lighting and, when the sun demands it, a steel canopy.

Quick answer: On the Riviera Maya in 2026, a complete outdoor padel court costs roughly $660,000–$1,170,000 MXN: $480,000–$850,000 for the installed court and $180,000–$320,000 for the slab and drainage. A canopy adds $900,000–$1,800,000 MXN.

What We Build

Panoramic Padel Courts

10 × 20 m courts with 12 mm tempered glass, hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated structure for salt air.

Tennis Courts

Acrylic hard courts on post-tensioned or reinforced slabs, with nets, fences and windbreak mesh.

Slabs & Drainage

Laser-levelled slabs with 1% fall, joints planned around the court lines and drainage that clears a tropical storm.

LED Sports Lighting

Glare-free LED floodlights sized for club play, with timers and dimming to respect neighbours.

Canopies & Clubs

Steel canopies for year-round play, plus changing rooms, bar and seating for hotel and club projects.

Resurfacing & Repairs

New artificial grass, glass replacement, acrylic resurfacing and lighting upgrades on existing courts.

Why courts fail on this coast, and how we build them to last

Three things ruin courts in the Riviera Maya: slabs that settle or crack on poorly compacted fill, corrosion of untreated steel within two seasons of salt air, and standing water after downpours. We start with a soil study, compact the base in tested layers, pour a slab with controlled flatness (±3 mm under a 3 m straightedge) and specify galvanised, powder-coated structures with stainless fixings. The court installer works on our slab, under our schedule, so nobody blames anybody else.

Padel or tennis, open or covered

  • Space: a padel court needs about 11 × 21 m with clearances; a tennis court about 18 × 36 m. Two padel courts fit where one tennis court would go.
  • Surface: artificial grass with silica sand for padel; acrylic hard court for tennis, which suits the heat better than clay.
  • Cover: a canopy roughly doubles the investment but adds the midday hours and the rainy season, which is what makes a hotel or club court pay.
  • Permits: a court is a structure: licence, setbacks and, in gated communities, the HOA's rules on lighting and noise.

Frequently Asked Questions

On the Riviera Maya in 2026, a complete outdoor padel court costs roughly $660,000–$1,170,000 MXN: $480,000–$850,000 for the installed court and $180,000–$320,000 for the slab and drainage. A canopy adds $900,000–$1,800,000 MXN.

The playing area is 10 × 20 m; plan about 11 × 21 m with clearances, plus access. Two padel courts fit in roughly the footprint of one tennis court.

Not if it is specified for it: hot-dip galvanised steel, marine powder coat and stainless fixings, plus a fresh-water rinse a few times a year. Untreated steel shows rust within one or two seasons.

About 6–10 weeks after permits: 3–4 weeks for slab and curing, 1–2 weeks to install the court, plus lighting and finishes. A canopy adds 6–10 weeks.
