Roofs and canopies are the structures that fail first in a hurricane: large, light surfaces that the wind tries to lift. We design and build steel roof structures, self-supporting arched roofs (arcotechos), parking and drop-off canopies, gas-station canopies and roofs for sports courts, schools and terraces with the uplift calculated, the anchorage engineered and the sheeting fixed to resist it.
Self-supporting curved roofs for warehouses, courts and workshops, with no internal structure and large clear spans.
Car-park, hotel entrance and condo canopies, designed so solar panels can be added later.
Forecourt canopies with integrated lighting and drainage, built to brand specifications.
Roofs over basketball, padel and multi-use courts and school patios, with ventilation and natural light.
Steel roofs and pergolas for terraces, rooftop bars and outdoor kitchens, with gutters hidden in the frame.
Uplift calculations, engineered anchor bolts, clip spacing and edge details where storms start tearing roofs.
In a storm the wind does not push a roof down; it sucks it up, and the force is highest at corners, edges and ridges. Most failures we see after hurricanes start with sheeting fixed with too few screws, purlins tied with light clips or columns anchored for gravity only. We calculate uplift for the site and design every link in the chain: sheeting fixings at closer spacing on edges, purlin connections, frame-to-column joints and anchor bolts in the foundation.
| Structure | Typical use | Price (MXN/m²) |
|---|---|---|
| Arched self-supporting roof | Warehouses, courts, workshops | $1,100–$2,000 |
| Steel-frame roof + sheeting | Commercial, schools, terraces | $1,800–$3,500 |
| Parking / drop-off canopy | Condos, hotels, retail (solar-ready) | $3,000–$5,500 |
| Architectural canopy | Hotel entrances, rooftops | $4,500–$9,000 |
