We demolish selectively on Isla Mujeres: interior strip-outs, concrete cutting and total demolitions, with structural review first and legal debris disposal. Works on the island are licensed by Isla Mujeres municipality, the beachfront falls under ZOFEMAT, and narrow streets and golf-cart traffic mean deliveries and debris removal must be planned with the town.
Removal of tile, kitchens, bathrooms, ceilings and partitions, protecting what stays.
Diamond saw cuts and core drilling for new doors, windows, stairs and services.
Separation of metal, wood and reusable items; crushed concrete reused as fill where allowed.
Materials and crews cross on the car ferry from Cancún, so we plan full loads, store materials on site and book ferry slots in advance; that crossing is reflected in prices. We process these approvals before any hammer starts, so neighbours and administrations have no reason to stop the job.
Isla Mujeres has older family houses in the centre, boutique hotels and a growing number of villas and condos towards the south point, many of them bought by foreigners who renovate rather than build new. Trucks, loading and disposal sites are planned around this access, and debris leaves the site daily.
The island is small and fully exposed to the sea, so salt reaches everything: steel rusts quickly, paint chalks and hinges seize, which makes stainless fittings and marine enamels the default specification.
Water is limited and pressure is irregular, so cisterns, rooftop tanks and filters are standard and every new bathroom or garden must be designed to use water sparingly.
Tourism is busy most of the year, so in rentals we work room by room and keep noise and dust inside agreed hours.
