Full Electrical Installation in Puerto Aventuras

What the work covered
A new 42-pole main panel was installed with individual thermal-magnetic protection and a dedicated earthing system. Independent circuits were designed for the kitchen, each air-conditioning unit, the pool plant and the solar water heating, which is what keeps a house of this size stable and safe.
The LED lighting design covered inside and out. Indoors: recessed fittings under zone control, perimeter LED strips in the living areas and accent lighting in kitchen and bathrooms. Outdoors: landscape lighting through the gardens, security lighting around the perimeter and submersible floodlights in the pool.
Also in scope: full preparation for solar panels with inverter pre-wiring, connection of a standby generator with automatic transfer switch, and structured cabling for home automation covering lighting control, security and climate. The service upgrade with CFE was handled as part of the job.
Main panel and distribution
The existing 20-pole panel was removed and replaced with a 42-pole Square D load centre on a 200 A main breaker. Every circuit has individual thermal-magnetic protection sized to its load. GFCI protection was fitted in the kitchen, bathrooms, outdoors and the pool area in accordance with NOM-001-SEDE. The earthing system was built with two 3 m copper rods driven into ground treated with conductive gel, reaching a resistance below 5 ohms.
LED lighting and zone control
The lighting design set out more than eighty light points. Living areas use 12 W recessed fittings with adjustable colour temperature from 3000 K to 5000 K. The kitchen has under-cabinet lighting on its own circuit.
