Home Elevator Installation for Villas and Penthouses

Three-storey villas and rooftop terraces have made the home elevator a normal request on this coast, for comfort, for guests and for owners who plan to stay for decades. We build the shaft, pit and structure and coordinate the certified elevator supplier, so the lift arrives to a shaft that is plumb, dry and ready, with the salt-air specification that keeps it running.

Quick answer: On the Riviera Maya in 2026 a home lift for 2–3 stops costs about $450,000–$850,000 MXN and a hydraulic or traction residential elevator $650,000–$1,300,000 MXN, plus $120,000–$300,000 MXN if a new shaft must be built.

What We Install

Home Lifts

Compact screw-driven or platform lifts that need a shallow pit and little headroom, ideal for existing villas.

Residential Elevators

Hydraulic or machine-room-less traction elevators for larger villas and private towers.

Glass Panoramic Shafts

Steel and laminated glass shafts that become an architectural feature.

Shaft & Pit Construction

Concrete or block shafts, waterproofed pits and lifting beams built to the supplier's drawings.

Retrofit in Existing Homes

Openings in slabs, structural reinforcement and finishes for adding a lift to a finished villa.

Maintenance & Backup

Maintenance contracts, battery rescue for power cuts and stainless finishes for salt air.

What makes a home elevator work on the coast

Most problems with residential elevators here are not the machine but the building: pits that flood in the rainy season because the water table is high, shafts out of plumb, and controls corroded by salt air. We waterproof the pit as a tank, build the shaft to the supplier's tolerances, provide a dedicated electrical supply with battery rescue for CFE power cuts, and specify stainless car finishes and protected electronics.

Choosing the type

  • Screw-driven or platform lift: small pit (often 10–15 cm), low headroom, slower; the easiest retrofit.
  • Hydraulic: smooth and robust for 2–4 stops; needs a small machine space.
  • Machine-room-less traction: faster and efficient for more stops; needs more pit and headroom.
  • Glass shaft: a design feature on facades or atriums; needs solar control and ventilation so the car does not overheat.

Frequently Asked Questions

On the Riviera Maya in 2026 a home lift for 2–3 stops costs about $450,000–$850,000 MXN and a hydraulic or traction residential elevator $650,000–$1,300,000 MXN, plus $120,000–$300,000 MXN if a new shaft must be built.

Usually yes. Screw-driven and platform lifts need only a shallow pit and little headroom; we open the slabs, reinforce the structure and finish the shaft. A structural check comes first.

Shaft construction takes 3–6 weeks; the elevator itself is often imported, with 8–16 weeks of lead time, and 1–3 weeks of installation and certification.

A service visit every one to three months under a maintenance contract ($2,500–$5,000 MXN/month), plus a dry pit and protected electronics in the salt air.
