Bespoke Joinery for a Luxury Residence

What was made
The fitted kitchen was the centrepiece, built in tzalam with a natural finish sealed in marine polyurethane. Cabinets carry European Blum soft-close hardware, drawers with internal organisation and wall units with frosted glass doors. The worktop supports were made in machiche, an extremely hard timber that holds up to humidity.
Walk-in wardrobes were designed and built for all three bedrooms with complete organisation systems: double rails, pull-out shoe racks, drawers divided for accessories, adjustable shelves and compartments for folded clothing. Every drawer and door runs on soft-close.
The package also covered solid tropical hardwood interior doors in a flat-panel format with wrap-around frames, an exterior pergola with 6×8 inch parota beams for the terrace, floating bathroom vanities with drawers and open niches, and a media unit for the main living room. Everything was finished to marine grade with stainless steel hardware.
The tzalam kitchen
The kitchen was made entirely in our workshop from certified sustainably sourced tzalam. Fourteen modules were built across wall units, base units and the central island. Base units have drawers on full-extension Blum Tandembox runners rated to 50 kg, which is what pots and heavy appliances actually need. Wall units run on Blum Clip Top soft-close hinges opening to 110 degrees. The machiche worktop supports were turned by hand and sealed with three coats of marine varnish.
Wardrobes, doors and pergola
The three walk-in wardrobes were built to the exact dimensions of each bedroom, using every available centimetre. The parota pergola on the terrace became, by the owners’ account, their favourite part of the house.
