We build private roads, subdivision streets, access roads and yards in Playa del Carmen as one package, from survey and earthworks to pavement, drainage and signage. Playa del Carmen needs access roads and streets for new gated communities on the west side, car parks for plazas and hotels along Highway 307, condo-street resurfacing in Playacar and ongoing repairs after every rainy season.
Line marking, traffic signs, speed humps, reflective studs and street lighting conduits.
Streets for gated communities and lot developments with kerbs, sidewalks, storm drainage and conduits for services.
Topography, geotechnical study and pavement design for the real traffic, from cars to 40-tonne trucks.
West of the highway the ground is shallow limestone that often needs breaking for drainage and utilities; near the beach it turns into sand over rock, and cavities are found often enough that probing under heavy loads is sensible. The pavement design and the base thickness are set for these conditions after the soil study, not copied from another site.
Solidaridad issues the licences; work on or next to Highway 307 and its lateral roads needs SCT or municipal approval, and Playacar, Mayakoba and other gated communities add association rules on hours, materials and finishes. We map these approvals during design so that construction starts with every connection and clearing authorised.
Tourist traffic on Quinta Avenida and Constituyentes means paving in streets near the centre is done early morning or at night, and works in gated communities follow association hours, usually weekdays only.
Many streets in the older centre flood after tropical downpours because water runs off hard surfaces with nowhere to go; infiltration wells and permeable paving are the standard fix, and gutters must be kept clear of sand.
