We build drywall partitions, false ceilings and lighting coves in Chetumal with moisture-resistant boards and galvanised framing made for the coast. Chetumal is the state capital, with a large stock of family homes, government and commercial buildings, where demand is for practical renovations, bathrooms, floors, paint and maintenance contracts.
Flat and multi-level ceilings that hide AC ducts, plumbing and wiring, with access panels where needed.
Recessed coves and slots for indirect LED lighting, curtains and blinds.
Green board and cement board for bathrooms, kitchens, terraces and soffits.
Chetumal sits on a bay, so salt is milder than on the open coast, but heat and humidity are high and the city has been hit by hurricanes. It is the fastest way to add rooms, hide AC ducts and build ceiling details in this kind of property.
Licences come from Othón P. Blanco municipality with established procedures; condominium and commercial buildings add their own administration rules. Board type, framing and ventilation are chosen for this humidity so ceilings do not sag or stain.
The municipal network covers most of the city, with hard water that makes filters and softeners useful in bathrooms and kitchens.
Chetumal is about four hours from our workshops but has good local suppliers, so materials are bought locally and labour costs are lower than in the north.
Most properties are owner-occupied or long-term rentals, so works are scheduled with occupants.
