We build padel and tennis courts in Mahahual: soil study, reinforced slab levelled to ±3 mm, glass and mesh structure, LED lighting and an optional steel canopy, under one fixed quote. Mahahual is a small Costa Maya town with beachfront villas, dive lodges and the cruise pier; premium projects are few but large, with docks, spas and storm-ready envelopes.
10 × 20 m courts with 12 mm tempered glass, hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated structure for salt air.
Laser-levelled slabs with 1% fall, joints planned around the court lines and drainage that clears a tropical storm.
Glare-free LED floodlights sized for club play, with timers and dimming to respect neighbours.
The village is fully exposed to the Caribbean and to hurricanes, so marine-grade metal, strong fixings and hurricane-ready finishes are essential; Hurricane Dean in 2007 flattened much of the village, and today shutters, anchored roofs and stainless hardware are part of every serious job. Orientation, light spill and noise towards neighbours are designed from the start, because most courts here sit next to homes or guest rooms.
Mahahual is about four hours from our workshops; we source cement, tile and fittings from Chetumal, about two hours away, bring specialised items from the north in one load and organise multi-day stays with crews lodged in the village. Slab joints, hot-dip galvanised steel and stainless fixings are specified for this exposure so the court stays flat and rust-free.
Licences come from Othón P. Blanco municipality; the coast is under ZOFEMAT and close to the Banco Chinchorro reserve, so exterior works follow environmental limits.
Supply is limited and many buildings use cisterns and rainwater, so low-flow fittings and storage are standard, and we often add rainwater collection from the roof to the cistern, with first-flush filters, to keep bathrooms and gardens working in the dry months.
