We protect beachfront land in Cancún with an engineered approach: survey, soft solutions first (dunes, geotubes), rock revetments or seawalls only where they are needed, and works outside turtle season. Cancún concentrates the region's high-end towers and residences: Puerto Cancún, the Hotel Zone, Isla Dorada and lagoon-front houses on Nichupté, where owners add lifts, cinema rooms, spas and boat docks.
Sloped armour stone on geotextile that absorbs wave energy instead of reflecting it.
Sand nourishment, sand fencing and native dune plants that rebuild the beach naturally.
Deeper foundations, piles and raised slabs for beachfront buildings exposed to surge.
Hotel Zone buildings face open sea on one side and the lagoon on the other, while inland neighbourhoods are hot and humid; salt protection matters on the coast, mould prevention everywhere. Every frontage is surveyed and compared with its neighbours, because coastal works that ignore the next lot usually fail.
Licences come from Benito Juárez municipality; condo towers require building-administration approval, insurance certificates and set work hours, and Hotel Zone buildings often restrict noisy work to weekdays. Hurricane waves, sargassum and seasonal sand movement set the crest height, toe depth and material of each solution. Hotel Zone beaches are among the most eroded in the Caribbean, so revetments and dune works are coordinated with neighbouring properties to avoid moving the problem next door.
Many Hotel Zone and downtown units are short-term rentals, so we phase work between guests and coordinate lifts and loading bays with building management.
Cancún is about 50 minutes from our workshops and has the best supply of tile, fittings, plants and materials in the region, which keeps lead times short.
