We protect beachfront land in Puerto Aventuras with an engineered approach: survey, soft solutions first (dunes, geotubes), rock revetments or seawalls only where they are needed, and works outside turtle season. Puerto Aventuras is a gated marina community: canal-front homes with private docks, golf-side villas and condos, where boat lifts, seawalls and private spas are everyday requests.
Sand-filled geotextile tubes, buried in the dune, that act as a last line of defence.
Deeper foundations, piles and raised slabs for beachfront buildings exposed to surge.
Coastal studies, ZOFEMAT, SEMARNAT and turtle-season planning.
Marina-front and beachfront units get salt and humidity all year, which is why rusted railings, peeling paint and tired bathrooms are the most common jobs here. Every frontage is surveyed and compared with its neighbours, because coastal works that ignore the next lot usually fail.
Licences come from Solidaridad, but the community administration controls access, work hours, crew registration and design changes, and approvals must be requested before work starts. Hurricane waves, sargassum and seasonal sand movement set the crest height, toe depth and material of each solution.
Puerto Aventuras is about 25 minutes from our workshops, so materials and crews arrive daily and urgent repairs can be handled the same day.
Rentals peak in winter and holidays, so we schedule larger works in the low season and between bookings.
