We build wine rooms, glass wine walls and home cinemas in Bacalar: insulated envelope, vapour barrier, cooling, racks, acoustics and AV, delivered by one team. Bacalar's premium market is lagoon-front villas and eco-boutique hotels; owners want docks, decks and wellness spaces, on a fragile lagoon where motorised navigation is restricted.
12–14 °C and 60–70% humidity with split or ducted cellar cooling and a sealed envelope.
Room-in-room acoustics, Dolby Atmos layouts, acoustically transparent screens and tiered seating.
Control from the villa's smart-home system, alarms for cellar temperature and power backup.
There is no sea salt, but the lagoon keeps humidity high and the sun is strong, so wood, decks and paint need UV and moisture protection. Most projects here are villas and penthouses where the cellar or cinema is a selling point, so design and finish quality come first.
Bacalar is about three and a half hours from our workshops; we plan stays on site and buy many materials in Chetumal, which keeps costs close to the southern average. Tropical humidity is the real enemy: vapour barriers, insulated glass and dew-point control stop condensation and mould behind racks and panels.
Water is from the municipal system or wells, and wastewater must never reach the lagoon, which affects every bathroom and kitchen project.
Licences come from Bacalar municipality, and the lagoon shore is protected, so works near the water, landscaping and wastewater must respect environmental rules.
