We build wine rooms, glass wine walls and home cinemas on Holbox: insulated envelope, vapour barrier, cooling, racks, acoustics and AV, delivered by one team. Holbox is a car-free island of boutique hotels and low-rise villas; premium work here means spas, plunge pools, small courts and lagoon-side docks, with every material ferried from Chiquilá.
12–14 °C and 60–70% humidity with split or ducted cellar cooling and a sealed envelope.
Insulated glass enclosures for living and dining areas, with UV-safe LED lighting.
Control from the villa's smart-home system, alarms for cellar temperature and power backup.
Holbox sits between the Gulf and a shallow lagoon: very humid, salty and exposed to northers in winter, so wood, metal and paint need extra protection and frequent maintenance. Most projects here are villas and penthouses where the cellar or cinema is a selling point, so design and finish quality come first.
Everything arrives by ferry from Chiquilá and moves on sand streets by golf cart or small truck, about three hours plus the crossing from our workshops, so jobs are planned in tight batches. Tropical humidity is the real enemy: vapour barriers, insulated glass and dew-point control stop condensation and mould behind racks and panels.
High season runs from winter to summer holidays, so most hotels schedule renovation and maintenance in the quieter autumn months.
Fresh water is scarce and supplied irregularly, so bathrooms and gardens are designed with low-flow fittings, cisterns and treated greywater wherever possible.
