We build private spas in Bacalar: dry saunas, steam rooms, temazcal, cold plunges and home gyms, with the waterproofing and ventilation the climate demands. Bacalar's premium market is lagoon-front villas and eco-boutique hotels; owners want docks, decks and wellness spaces, on a fragile lagoon where motorised navigation is restricted.
Thermo-treated wood interiors, electric or infrared heaters, glass fronts and dedicated ventilation.
Rubber flooring on a levelled slab, mirrors, air conditioning, audio and equipment layout.
Massage and treatment rooms with showers and wet-area finishes for hotel and villa spas.
There is no sea salt, but the lagoon keeps humidity high and the sun is strong, so wood, decks and paint need UV and moisture protection. Wellness rooms add value to villas and rentals here, so we plan them with the pool, terrace and guest flow.
Water is from the municipal system or wells, and wastewater must never reach the lagoon, which affects every bathroom and kitchen project. Vapour barriers, extraction and drainage keep steam inside the spa and out of the rest of the house.
Bacalar is about three and a half hours from our workshops; we plan stays on site and buy many materials in Chetumal, which keeps costs close to the southern average.
Tourism peaks on holidays and weekends, so hotels schedule works in quieter weeks.
