We build private spas on Isla Mujeres: dry saunas, steam rooms, temazcal, cold plunges and home gyms, with the waterproofing and ventilation the climate demands. On Isla Mujeres the premium market is boutique: oceanfront villas on the Caribbean side, homes at Sac Bajo and Laguna Makax with their own boats, and small hotels that compete on amenities.
Chilled plunge pools in concrete or stainless, with filtration and a chiller sized for 30 °C air.
Rubber flooring on a levelled slab, mirrors, air conditioning, audio and equipment layout.
Massage and treatment rooms with showers and wet-area finishes for hotel and villa spas.
The island is small and fully exposed to the sea, so salt reaches everything: steel rusts quickly, paint chalks and hinges seize, which makes stainless fittings and marine enamels the default specification. Wellness rooms add value to villas and rentals here, so we plan them with the pool, terrace and guest flow.
Water is limited and pressure is irregular, so cisterns, rooftop tanks and filters are standard and every new bathroom or garden must be designed to use water sparingly. Vapour barriers, extraction and drainage keep steam inside the spa and out of the rest of the house.
Tourism is busy most of the year, so in rentals we work room by room and keep noise and dust inside agreed hours.
Materials and crews cross on the car ferry from Cancún, so we plan full loads, store materials on site and book ferry slots in advance; that crossing is reflected in prices.
